Refunds and Returns

Last updated 1 October 2026.

We do not operate a discretionary returns policy. We accept returns in the circumstances set out below, which are the ones the law provides for. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights, and nothing in it is offered as a goodwill concession.

  • Part A — cancelling because you changed your mind. A legal right given to consumers by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. It is subject to the exceptions in those Regulations, which we apply.
  • Part B — something is wrong with the goods. Damaged, defective, the wrong item, or not as described, including purity materially below the figure we stated. These rights are not limited by Part A: no time limit in Part A applies to them, and whether the vial has been opened makes no difference to them.

Part A — Cancelling because you changed your mind

Who this applies to

This right is given to consumers — individuals buying for purposes outside a trade, business or profession. It is a statutory right, not something we offer.

If you are buying in the course of a business — an institution, company, laboratory or reseller purchasing for its own professional work, including through our trade channel — the Regulations do not give you a cancellation right, and we do not offer one. Part B and the general law of contract still apply to you in full.

The right to cancel

You have 14 days from the day you receive your goods to tell us you are cancelling. You do not have to give a reason. Once you have told us, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

How to cancel

Email cortexpeptides@gmail.com or write to Cortex Peptides, Office 1814, 92 Castle Street, Belfast BT1 1HE. Include your order number and say clearly that you are cancelling. Any clear statement is enough, and it takes effect when you send it.

You may use this form, but you do not have to:

To Cortex Peptides, Office 1814, 92 Castle Street, Belfast BT1 1HE, cortexpeptides@gmail.com:

I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract of sale of the following goods:

Ordered on / received on:

Name of consumer:

Address of consumer:

Signature of consumer (only if this form is notified on paper):

Date:

Opening the outer packaging

You may open the outer box and examine the vial. That does not affect your right to cancel.

If the vial seal has been broken

The vial itself is different. Our products are supplied sterile and lyophilised, and the seal on the vial is what keeps them so. Breaking it goes beyond what is needed to establish what you have received, and once broken the vial cannot be sold or returned to stock.

Where you cancel after the vial seal has been broken, we will reduce your refund to reflect the loss in the goods’ value. For a vial that can no longer be sold, that reduction will be the full price of the item. We will tell you the amount and the reason before applying it.

This does not affect Part B in any way.

Returning the goods

Contact us before sending anything so we can expect it; an unannounced return is difficult to match to an order. Send to Cortex Peptides, Office 1814, 92 Castle Street, Belfast BT1 1HE.

You pay the cost of returning the goods when you cancel under Part A. We pay it under Part B.

Your refund

We refund the price of the goods, less any reduction for loss in value, plus the standard delivery cost of sending them to you. Where you chose a faster or more expensive delivery option, we refund the standard cost rather than the premium one.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence that you have sent them, whichever is earlier. We then refund within 14 days, to the bank account the payment came from.

Payment is by bank transfer through open banking rather than by card, so there is no chargeback route — we issue every refund directly.

Part B — If something is wrong with your order

These rights apply to everyone, whether or not the 14 days in Part A have passed, and whether or not the vial has been opened.

If goods are damaged, defective, not what you ordered, or not as described — including a peptide that is not what the label says, or a purity materially below the figure we gave you — you may have the right to reject them and obtain a refund, or to ask for a replacement. Where you are a consumer, the short-term right to reject normally lasts 30 days from delivery, and further rights continue after that.

Telling us

Email us with your order number and what is wrong. Where you can, send photographs of the vial, the label and the outer packaging, and tell us promptly — ideally within 14 days for transit damage, while the evidence is fresh and the carrier can still be asked.

This is a request, not a condition. Reporting late does not cost you your statutory rights, and we will not refuse a claim because photographs were unavailable.

How we investigate

We will check the batch records and the certificate of analysis for your vial, and may ask what you have observed. Where it would help settle the question, we may arrange independent testing at our own cost.

You are not required to obtain independent testing to make a claim. If you have had testing done and wish to send us the results, we will take them into account; their absence is not a reason for us to refuse.

What we do about it

Where we sent the wrong item, it arrived damaged, or a batch is materially below the purity we stated, we will replace it free of charge including delivery, or refund you if you prefer. We do not ask for the vial back unless we need it to investigate, and we pay the postage where we do.

We usually offer a replacement first because it is quicker. You do not have to accept one, and accepting one does not give up your other rights.

Complaints

Email cortexpeptides@gmail.com. If we cannot resolve it between us, you may be able to take it to your local Trading Standards service through the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133.
